D8 ADVANCE/D8 FOCUS/D4 ENDEAVOR/D2 PHASER Applications Training
This course applies to users of the D8 ADVANCE, D8 FOCUS, D4 ENDEAVOR, D2 PHASER and D5000 series instruments. Participants will receive four days of intensive hands-on training on the fundamentals of X-ray diffraction, familiarizing users with the basics of the system operation, safety, required maintenance, sample preparation and alignment, analysis and measurement software and applications. This course is designed for novice users. It is a hands-on training and is intended to provide practical experience in handling the X-ray diffractometer.
The training will be performed primarily on a D8 ADVANCE system with a recent version of the DIFFRACplus Measurement Center and EVA software. Because each class is tailored to the individual attendees’ applications, participants are encouraged to contact the course instructor in advance to request specific topics to be covered. Participants are encouraged to bring samples or example data to class for one-on-one assistance and hands-on practice.
